Fiach Arts Circle was founded in 1998 by Charlotte Brady and Celine Mc Glynn who perceived a need for an outlet for artistic endeavours in the Finn Valley. The group meet throughout the year in the Parish Centre in Stranorlar and new members are always welcome. Fiach Arts Circle has held a number of successful art exhibitions since its inception.

In 2000, Fiach Arts Circle took part in a cross border initiative with Castle Arts Group in Castlederg, Co. Tyrone. Funded by Border Arts 2000, both groups created murals depicting life in their own areas. The Fiach Arts mural is on permanent display in the Ballybofey & Stranorlar Credit Union,(see image below) while the Castle Arts mural is on display in the Mourne Derg Partnership, Castlederg. Several cross border exhibitions have been held in Ballybofey, Letterkenny and Castlederg and both groups will collaborate in joint art projects in the future.

Fiach Arts Circle produced a calendar for the year 2005 depicting works of local and contemporary interest. Proceeds from the sale of the calendar went towards tutor expenses for the group and a percentage was donated to local charities. To see the calendar click on the image below.
